Real-life bull riding might be the 'most dangerous eight seconds in sports', but the same can't exactly be said about Bull in a Rodeo. It's fun and has a certain amount of spirit, yet it's also quite a small game by Play'n GO standards. It came across as more interested in getting players to chuckle at its bullish antics rather than knuckle down and hold on for dear life. It was nigh on impossible not to think aboutELK Studios' classicWild Torowhile playing Bull in a Rodeo as the two games share similarities. One thing they have in common is getting players to root for the bulls. InWild Toro, that typically means cheering when Toro chases down the Matador. Bull in a Rodeo is more progressively minded by comparison, replacing the controversial topic of bullfighting with the freeing of livestock. Letting the bulls loose occurs when The Bull and the Gate Scatter symbol hit, thereby triggering Freedom Spins. Hopefully, they work out when awarded because the base game was pretty slow going a lot of the time. The three Wild features are there, though they didn't trigger very often for us while test running the game. Proud Bulls tended to be a single stack, and Angry Bulls weren't super common. The pace picked up in free spins, where The Bull was a more regular occurrence, leading to a greater frequency of Wild features as well as the three extra Rodeo Bull Wilds. There can be quite a lot of wild activity happening on the reels, but there's also an element of tail chasing going on, too, as the most Bull in a Rodeo can muster is2,000x the bet. Seems fair enough in a game like this yet is low by Play'n GO's usual standards. Still, players who got a kick out of Wild Toro may get a kick out of this as well. Bull in a Rodeo put up a fight, but it wasn't as mechanically unique asWild Toro, or memorable either, for that matter. It relies on a handful of wild tricks and the charms of its cartoon bulls to carry the game, so if they don't do it for you, then it'll be hard to grip down to continue the ride.
