Q1 - First and foremost, thanks for taking the time to talk to us about Bullshark Game’s journey so far, and your foray into the world of streaming! Can you start by introducing yourself and Bullshark Games.
Thanks for having me! I’m Andre Villandberg, founder and CEO of Bullshark Games. We’re an independent studio focused on creating bold, high-energy slots with strong replay value. Our motto is “from players to players,” because a lot of us come from the player side of the industry. We know what makes a slot exciting, and we build with that in mind. Every game we release aims to feel unique, and we avoid reskins or recycled mechanics. It’s all about delivering moments that players will actually remember.
Q2 - How have you found the experience of working with streamers so far and just how satisfying is it to see your games get played? What kind of impact has this had on Bullshark’s success this year?
It’s honestly been one of the most rewarding parts of the journey. Watching streamers react live to our games, whether it’s a near miss, a huge hit, or just vibing with the music, is incredibly satisfying. It gives us instant, unfiltered feedback, not only from the streamer but also from the viewers, which helps shape future games. Streamers have definitely played a big role in our visibility this year. A few games really took off after being featured in streams, which translated into higher retention and more widespread awareness for Bullshark.
Q3 - When you are looking to work with streamers, what aspect do you find most challenging in aligning your message?
One challenge is making sure our games stand out in a space that’s saturated with similar-looking content. Streamers are constantly flooded with new titles, so our goal is to create something that feels fresh but also delivers that adrenaline hit their viewers are looking for. Aligning on tone and vibe is also key, we want the streamers to feel like the game fits naturally into their style, not like a forced promotion.
Q4 - How do you deal with the changing landscape of slots with the focus of streamers on huge wins and max wins pushing higher volatility slots into the forefront?
We embrace it, but with balance. High volatility is definitely in demand, and we love building games that can deliver those massive moments. That said, we try to make sure there’s still a fun journey in between the big wins, building tension, creating progression, giving players little boosts that keep them engaged even if the max win doesn’t land. The key is volatility with entertainment value, not just dry grind.
Q5 - What games released in 2025 would you say are best suited for a streamer’s audience, and why do you think this is?
Age of Seth has definitely been our top performer and it’s also a strong fit for streaming. It’s a high-volatility game that creates real tension with its symbol collection mechanic and the potential for huge swings. Those “39 out of 40” moments before triggering the bonus are exactly the kind of drama that streamers and their audiences love. When that Big Seth Wild drops, it’s electric. From our newer 2025 releases, both Astro Rumble and Charm of the Dragon also really shine on stream. Astro Rumble is fast-paced and full of energy. The Cosmic Boost feature can randomly trigger big swings, and Free Spins offer scaling excitement, so it’s never boring to watch. Charm of the Dragon, on the other hand, is all about building momentum through progressive elements. In the base game, every win either expands the reels or boosts the multiplier ladder, creating a strong sense of buildup. Once you trigger Free Spins, the progression starts fresh, but with Sticky Mystery Symbols added and features that evolve as you spin, it becomes its own standalone thrill. We always aim to design our games so that players quickly understand what they need to get to hit big, while keeping those elements teasing as much as possible to build anticipation.
Q6 - Do you think every studio out there should be working with slots streamers to improve visibility of their games? What would you say to them to convince them to do so?
Yes, 100%. Streamers have become one of the most authentic and impactful ways to reach real players. It’s not just about exposure, it’s about building a brand that players can connect with. If you want to see how your game performs under real-time pressure, with a chat reacting live, there's no better testing ground. And honestly, if you build a good game, the streamers want to show it off so it’s a win-win.
Q7 - Can you give us an insight into what’s coming from Bullshark Games in the next few months, and what it is about these games that’ll excite players.
We’ve got some exciting titles coming up that introduce mechanics we haven’t used before, alongside some familiar ones that we’ve refined based on what’s worked well in our top-performing games. That’s really the fun of this journey. Constantly learning, evolving, and experimenting. Each new game gives us a chance to take what we’ve built, apply player feedback, and see if we can raise the bar. It’s a cycle of improvement that keeps things fresh both for us and for the players.
