Treasure Wild failed to get much of a hook in at the beginning and didn't progress far from there as testing panned out. It's got a cheerful look, and positive sounds, yet little in the way of long-term personality. Any initial charm is only skin deep, and we are talking about very thin skin here. The scatter collection feature is basically executed most of the time, though it is fleshed out during free spins. Yet, you get the feeling Pragmatic Play didn't think the feature was clever enough to really expand on, settling for using it in a game that didn't require too many resources to develop and could be shipped out the door in a relatively short space of time. Maybe not, but this was the impression Treasure Wild gave off. The bonus round is where it's possible to squeeze extra value when stacking money symbols, though don't count on it. You can coast through free spins, build up a swag of money symbols in the treasure chest and not land a single wild to collect it; that's annoying. Even more so, if you fail to hit any regular wins in the process, which can also happen. Not saying this scenario is restricted to just Treasure Wild, of course. When luck's hot and the money symbol collection is going to plan, it is fun as decent totals can tally up. At full strength, Treasure Wild can pay up to4,500x the bet, keeping in mind this figure is a win cap applicable in the base or bonus games. At the end of the day, Treasure Wild is capable of occasional spikes of adrenaline, and the money collection/chest feature is neat at times. Still, despite the good things, Treasure Wild feels like an in-between game for Pragmatic Play while they gather their forces to create something memorable or a time burner for players to while away a few spins on before taking on something more evolved.
